Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. has been serving the local community for 100 years as an independent Goodwill affiliate. While most people recognize Goodwill as a retail thrift chain, that is only a portion of the Goodwill mission. Goodwill is a nonprofit, social service agency dedicated to improving the lives of all people by providing skill-building programs and services needed to help remove common barriers to good jobs and independence. The stores provide revenue to help fund these programs and serve as job training sites. In the pages below, find out how shopping and giving to Goodwill supports the local community.

Here ‘s how these two things that are good for you are also good for your community: Every day, our Goodwill donor attendants stand by waiting for your items to come through the door. And when they do, our donation processors carefully hang each garment and place each houseware item in one of our Goodwill stores. And when those items are purchased by shoppers who are looking for a great deal, the community gets a great deal more. This is because your donations and purchases help provide Goodwill with the dollars and cents we need to offer job and life skills training to people with disabilities and other barriers. And every day, our Goodwill donor attendants stand by waiting to start this cycle of success all over again… with your donation!
