HISTORY
Craciun Funeral Home’s history dates back to 1941, when John Jr. and Yolanda Craciun began a tradition of excellent service funeral care in the Cleveland community. Located at 6204 Detriot Avenue, the original Craciun Funeral Home at was located directly across the street from St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Church. SEE MORE
GENERATIONS OF CARE
Their sons, Joseph and Jim Craciun, joined the family business in the 70s. Joseph and Jim supported the Cleveland community through civic leadership and church involvement and saw their business grow significantly throughout the years. Today, Joseph’s daughter, Alexandra Craciun, and Jim’s son, Jonathan Craciun, have joined their family’s mission.
After John passed in 1985, Joseph, James and Yolanda acquired the Koval Funeral Home in Middleburg Heights, opening the door to a whole new community of people. We’re now able to also serve families in Cleveland, Fairview Park and Westlake.
John Jr. and Yolanda Craciun began with a commitment to a high standard of service and community involvement, and throughout our history, we’ve continued that legacy. Everyone at the Craciun Funeral Home family is proud to uphold this commitment to our community, now as a part of the Dignity Memorial® network.
