Ohio Governor DeWine announced the creation of the Small Business Relief Grant program which, beginning November 2, will offer a total of $125 million, in $10,000 grants, to Ohio businesses with no more than 25 employees. Businesses can use the grants to pay for various expenses including mortgages, rent, utilities, salaries, health care premiums, business supplies and other related operational costs. Grants will be on a first-come, first-served basis. More than $37.5 million has been set aside specifically for bars and restaurants. Businesses can apply at https://www.businesshelp.ohio.gov/

The Small Business Relief Grant is designed to provide relief to Ohio businesses that have been negatively affected by COVID-19.

- The grants are $10,000 each, limited to small businesses with no more than 25 employees

- Amounts to $125 million across the state
The Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund is designed to assist Ohio’s on-premise liquor permit holders.
- Applications open November 2nd
- The grants are $2,500 each, limited to liquor permit holders

- Amounts to $37.5 million across the state
The Home Relief Grant is designed to “help eligible Ohioans who are behind on rent, mortgage, and water and/or sewer utility bills catch up on past payments back to April 1, 2020 and provide additional assistance through December 30, 2020.”
- Applications open November 2nd via your local Community Action Agency
- For Cuyahoga County, that is the Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland

- Households with an annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines will be eligible for assistance
- Amounts to $50 million across the state
These funds will be limited, so please share this information prior to the application opening on November 2nd.
