What is the Chamber of Commerce?

The Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, voluntary organization of people working together to promote positive and productive relations among the businesses in the city and between those businesses and the community itself.

Established in 1975, the purpose of the Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce is to develop and advance the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural and general interest of the city and its trade area.

Members of the Chamber form a dedicated and aware group of civic-minded business leaders as well as men and women of our government and community who work together to promote the positive growth and development of Middleburg Heights.

How is it financed?

The revenues of the Chamber come from its membership. Membership dues and fund raising events are its total income.

What does the Chamber do?

The primary job of the Chamber is community development. This includes the promotion of industry and trade, participation in civic endeavors, public relations for the city, and much more. The variety and scope of activities are virtually unlimited, depending upon the needs of the community and the desire of the Chamber to carry them out. The goal of the Chamber is to encourage businesses to locate in the city, attract customers to trade and retail areas, and improve the buying power of its citizens.

The Chamber does not carry on this work alone, but works closely with public officials and other civic organizations.

As the ‘front door’ of the city, the Chamber welcomes newcomers and visitors to Middleburg Heights, and provides information for all those making inquiry.

The Chamber of Commerce formulates and expresses sound opinions on issues that affect the city and the greater geographical area.

Who belongs?

All are welcome. Those who join may be a part of a manufacturing, service, professional, or retail business, or a member of a civic, educational, or religious organization. Interested private citizens are also encouraged to participate.
